Believing in the slogan of the first United Nations Conference regarding the Environment “We only have one land” and with the presence and participation of a constellation of experts and specialists to raise various environmental issues,,,

 

October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) held an event entitled “Egypt and the Race for Climate Change to Zero and resiliance” (the green road to COP 27 conference), headed by Dr. Nawal El-Degwi and with the participation of the national company Egypt Air, and in the presence of a group of experts and specialists.

 

The event was moderated by Dr. Nour El-Gendy, and it had many attendees from Dr. Khaled Fahmy, former Minister of Environment, Dr. Ashraf Abdel Aziz Mansour, Secretary General of the Arab Union for Sustainable Development and Environment, Dr. Hoda Abu Shady, Professor of Nuclear and Radiation Physics at Cairo University, and Dr. Yasser Mustafa – Director of a Research Institute Petroleum and Dr. Abbas Sharaki - Professor of Geology and Water Resources at the Faculty of Higher African Studies, Cairo University to many professors at various Egyptian and international universities, research centers and institutes, representatives of the industry and investment sector and companies interested in environmental work. In addition to, EgyptAir Pilot / Karim Jamil - Director of Mitigation and Emissions Equation Department In the safety and quality sector of the holding company for EgyptAir.

 

During the event, various environmental issues were presented and introduced. The event was organized with the aim of introducing students to the existence of sustainable, recyclable and environmentally friendly products that inspire a green ethical lifestyle, coinciding with the celebration of World Environment Day, which is held this year under the slogan “We only have one land.” The event also aims to focus on sustainability and take measures to contribute to the legalization of waste and raise awareness of climate change and its negative impacts on our social, economic and natural systems, and to invite and encourage young people to take measures to create a healthy environment without waste.
