Doctors conducted an initial examination of 150 patients who attended the oral medicine and periodontal clinic and then performed a detailed examination of 50 patients who were found to have lesions in the soft tissues of the mouth in the following week, where instructions were given to treat some of them and others were removed. As for the cases that were suspected of having cancerous lesions in the soft tissues of the mouth, after careful examination, they were transferred to the National Cancer Institute to be confirmed, diagnosed and treated according to the protocol followed by the Institute.
