Prof. Amr Mohamed Ageez
| Received my Ph. D. in 2005 from the University of Tokyo, Japan. From 2005. Starting from 2005 I was a research scientist, in the Genomics, Proteomics, and Bioinformatics facility at Agricultural Genetic Engineering Research Institute (AGERI). I headed the nucleic acid and protein chemistry department inside AGERI. From 2010 to 2011 I was the deputy director of AGERI. I am the instructor of the Bioinformatics course in the Faculty of Biotechnology since 2007 and I am the Vice Dean for Research & Postgraduate Studies of the faculty. I was the Personal Investigator, for the development and enhancement of butanol production in E. coli. A research project funded by Science & Technology Development Fund (STDF), Egypt. I am Senior Researcher, in the first next-generation sequencing project in Egypt for the De novo Sequencing and Assembly of the Egyptian Buffalo Genome Project. Also, I served as a molecular biologist in many projects such as the conservation and utilization of Egyptian wild flora to improve salinity tolerance in cereals project and the development of functional markers through association analysis of candidate genes for drought tolerance in the barley project. I was a visiting researcher at the University of Tokyo in 2007 and at Kobe University, Japan in 2010 and 2013. I joined many workshops for harmonization of GMO detection and analysis organized by the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC) in 2014 in Italy, 2013 in Jordan, 2012 in South Africa, and 2010 in South. Also, in NGS analysis in Darmstadt, Germany in 2010 and 2011. I am currently joining many research teams for NGS analysis of viruses such as corona, H5N1, and H5N8. |
Prof. Khaled Mohamed Ahmed Emam Sharafeldein
I have worked as a Professor of Physiology since 2015. My teaching and research career have continued for 3 decades (1989-2023). I earned my PhD in immunology from Brigham Young University (BYU), UTAH, USA and Benha University, EGYPT through channel system (2000). PhD study had focused on monitoring immune elements and DNA damage as a biomarker of aquatic animals in polluted water. I have completed training as a visiting researcher during post-doctoral research work at Games Cook University (Molecular immunology Lab), Townsville, Australia (2014). I had carried out a study on food allergy from seafood. Currently, my research focuses on biosynthesis of collagen and aging in relation to the immune state. Degree(s)

Prof. Nabil Ahmad Ibrahim

Professor, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA). Prof. Nabil is currently (since 2015) a professor of biostatistics and calculus at the October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), a professor of limnology and quantitative genetics at the Central Lab for Aquaculture Research (CLAR), and an international consultant for the genetic improvement programs at some international organizations. From 2004 to 2008, he worked as a data analyst for WorldFish (a non-profit international organization), and from 2009 to 2020, he worked as a quantitative geneticist and led the genetics programs as a program manager at WorldFish-Egypt for producing genetically improved fish species such as Genetically Improved Abbassa Nile Tilapia "GIANT" and African catfish. Dr. Nabil earned his bachelor’s in animal production from the Faculty of Agriculture at Cairo University in 1990, his master’s in limnology in 1997, and his Ph.D. in limnology from Cairo University in 2001. In 2013, Dr. Nabil accepted a professor position at the CLAR in limnology and a scientist position as a quantitative geneticist at WorldFish. He has significantly contributed to capacity building by lecturing and conducting practical "hands-on" demonstrations for over 2500 local, regional, and international trainees from 110 countries on genetic improvement practices and aquaculture-related topics. Prof. Nabil has more than 30 peer-reviewed papers in Scopus, international and national journals, and four short books on genetics and aquaculture-related topics. He is a reviewer for the journal of Aquaculture Reports (ScienceDirect and Elsevier journals), an external examiner for international dissertations for the Pakistani University Bahauddin Zakariya-Multan, and the Egyptian Journal for Aquatic Biology and Fisheries |
Prof. Ranya AMER
Professor Ranya AMER is a full professor at the Faculty of Biotechnology at MSA University. She is an environmental microbiologist who graduated from the Faculty of Science, University of Alexandria. Dr. Amer is a professor of environmental biotechnology and microbiology. She obtained her MSc in 1997 in environmental microbiology and her PhD in environmental biotechnology in 2003. Amer also obtained an MBA in global management from ESLSCA-Paris in 2018. Prof. Amer was the dean of the Environment and Natural Resources Research Institute at SRTA-City for 10 years. Dr. Amer has conducted applied research in various microbiological applications, especially in water management and bioremediation solutions Professor AMER is the coordinator of national and internationally funded projects, Prof. Amer has more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific articles.
Prof. Ahmed Aref

Prof. Ahmed Aref obtained his Ph.D in Cell and Molecular Biology from Ain-Shams University in 2008, his thesis has focused on p53 gene expression in liver cancer patients. He did his post-doctoral training in the cancer immunology lab at VA hospital Long Beach California, USA, which focused on the identification of new tumor associated antigens expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma which may help in immunotherapy of liver cancer patients. He joined MSA University in 2008 as a lecturer of Cell Biology and Genetics in school of dentistry and he is now a professor at the faculty of Biotechnology. He have good experience in research, with over 30 international publications. Co-authored a book chapter which focused on glioma biology. He have got a grant in 2013 which was funded from Egyptian science and technology development fund (STDF), in collaboration with National liver institute and faculty of medicine Ain shams University. This follow up study has validated markers to predict recurrence after surgical resection of hepatocellular carcinoma. |
Prof. Reham Barghash
Reham F. Barghash is highly accomplished in the field of medicinal chemistry. Currently serving as a Prof. Dr. at Faculty of Biotechnology, MSA University. Dr. Barghash, received her Ph.D. degree in applied Organic Chemistry from Ain-Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, 2009 through Doctorate fellowship at Ferrara University, where she honed her skills and expertise in the intricate domain of chemical synthesis. Through several research grants, Dr Barghash got the opportunities to carry out her research work in Italy at Ferrara University, and postdoc at University of British Columbia‘s Okanagan Campus, Kelowna, BC, Canada. She was granted several awards; Best thesis NRC 2010, and NRC encouragement Award 2014. Dr Barghash has participated in national and international research projects for designing and developing pharmaceutical drugs as potential anticancer agents such as Breast, liver, leukemia cancer and potential antiviral agents such as COVID-19. She has actively participated in numerous national and international conferences, where she has presented her research findings and engaged in valuable scientific discussions. Moreover, she is a member of committees such as the Royal Society of Chemistry entitled Dr Reham Barghash MRSC, and International Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD). Dr Barghash has published more than 30 papers and books in reputed international journals and has been serving as peerreviewer and editorial member of international journals. A large part, if not all, of her research interests in pharmaceutical and Medicinal chemistry and drug design is being developed with the aim of providing new products for biochemical studies and pharmaceutical and biomedical applications and drug design that specially target and combat various cancer types, where this work bridging the gap between laboratory discoveries and their potential application in clinical settings. Throughout her academic journey, Dr. Barghash has demonstrated exceptional research capabilities and a strong commitment to advancing the field of medicinal chemistry.

Associate Professor Ashraf Bakkar

Dr Bakkar finished his Ph.D. at Paris University with Honors and special thanks from the jury. He then received the best Ph.D. award in the field of Cancer Biology. Dr Bakkar finished his Ph.D. in the laboratory where FGFR3 mutations in bladder cancer were discovered which is considered one of the most important discoveries in the field during the last decade. Dr Bakkar spent another year and half as a postdoc in France and then he returned back to Egypt where he was appointed a lecturer of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Sinai University. Dr Bakkar spent another three years as a postdoctoral fellow at Calgary Medical School, Canada. His research at that time focused on prostate cancer. Dr. Bakkar was appointed as an Associate professor of Biochemistry and Cancer Biology at MSA University in 2017. Associate Professor Haidan Mostafa

Associate Professor of Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics, Faculty of Biotechnology, MSA university and technical supervisor in the Central Lab of Biotechnology, Cairo University Has been awarded a Ph.D in 2014 from Cairo University and PGCert certificate from Greenwich University in 2023. She is a Specialist in the Molecular Biology field, Genetics. She has got many laboratory experiences with different molecular and biotechnology tools. She has more than 23 years of teaching experience. She has supervised more than 20 M.Sc and Ph.D theses. Haidan recorded several SNPs in Genbank with accession numbers (KY859868, LC151463.1, LC191188, LC192801, and LC192802.1, MF045747, MF045748, MF045749 for 18 CA repeats, MF045750, MF045751, MF045752, MF045753, MF045754 and MF045755), and has published more than 20 papers, 12 of them are Q1 in different Thomson reuters and Scopus journals. |
Associate Professor Hossam Taha Mohamed
Dr. Hossam Taha Mohamed is a distinguished virologist and molecular biologist with over 15 years of experience in Virology and Cancer Biology.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from Ain Shams University in 2004, followed by a Master of Science in 2011 and a Doctor of Philosophy in 2015, both specializing in virology, from the Faculty of Science at Cairo University.
Dr. Mohamed has extensive experience working in biosafety level 2 and 3 laboratories. His research focuses on understanding the impact of oncomodulatory viral infections on breast cancer progression.
In addition, he uses cutting-edge methodologies, including genomics, proteomics, and vibrational microspectroscopy, to characterize the breast tumor microenvironment. Dr. Mohamed achieved a significant milestone in his academic journey by securing the esteemed Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoc fellowship.
During this period, he played a key role in impactful research conducted at institutions including CNRS UMR7369, Matrice Extracellulaire et Dynamique cellulaire, MEDyC, Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne, France, and the Department of Cell Pathology at the Faculty of Biotechnology, University of Wroclaw, Poland. Dr. Mohamed has an outstanding record of publications, with articles published in high impact journals (ORCID: 0000-0003-1989-5783).
In addition, he has participated in numerous national and international projects funded by various institutions such as STDF, ASRT, AVON Foundation, DAAD, NIH, Diamond Synchrotron, and SESAME Synchrotron. Dr. Mohamed has an extensive research portfolio and is also an esteemed editor in highimpact factor journals. He leads special issues and meticulously evaluates and guides cutting-edge research for publication in reputable journals, shaping scholarly discourse. Yasmin is an associate professor researcher at the National Research Center. She published more than 30 articles and studies in biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences. She has 18+ years of experience in medical research and induction of cancer and various metabolic diseases in vivo. |
Associate Professor Mahmoud Saleh
Dr. Mahmoud Saleh is an Associate Professor of Microbial Biotechnology. He was born in Cairo (Egypt) and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Faculty of Science, Cairo University, Egypt in 2002, with graduation level very good with honors. In 2007, he was awarded Master’s in science of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, Cairo University. In 2008, he was awarded DAAD fellowship for PhD study at Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Hohenheim, Germany, (2008-2013).
In 2015, Dr Mahmoud Saleh joined Julius Kühn Institute for Biological Control, Darmstadt, Germany for postdoctoral study visit. He was appointed Assistant Professor in 2018 from Cairo university. He has authored and coauthored more than 37 peer reviewed articles. He has memberships of many scientific associations. He presented numerous presentations and lectures in the fields of Microbiology & Biotechnology. Dr. Mahmoud Saleh has supervised more than 15 Master and PhD Theses. He is serving as an associate editor for the Egyptian Journal of Chemistry, Egyptian Journal of Botany and reviewer of many reputed international journals.

Associate Professor Ahmed Refaat
Ahmed Refaat is an Associate Professor of Forensic Biotechnology at the Faculty of Biotechnology, MSA, received his PhD from the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University in 2009.
He has supervised thirty MSc theses, authored three books and published many papers specialized in Forensic DNA Profiling. His research interests focused on solving mysterious technical difficulties facing DNA Experts in analyzing biological evidencecollected from crime scene.
He has been worked as a DNA Fingerprinting Expert in the Criminal Laboratories and was the team leader investigating different crimes and mass disasters.
Assistant Professor Reham Mohsen
Dr. Reham Mohsen is a Pharmacist graduated from Faculty of Pharmacy at Cairo University. She had her Masters by Research and PhD at the University of Greenwich in the UK in the area of smart materials and drug delivery. She then started her Postdoctoral work at the Medway Centre for Pharmaceutical Consultancy at the University of Greenwich where she worked on drug formulation projects with several international pharmaceutical companies such as GSK - Galvmed and others. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Biotechnology – MSA University and a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Greenwich. She is also a member of several academic and professional bodies in the UK and internationally including the British Royal Society of Chemistry.
Dr. Mohsen has an extensive experience on Educational Quality Assurance as well as educational partnership management. In addition, she has received her Post Graduate Certificate (PGcert – Masters level) in Higher Education from the University of Greenwich in the UK.
Dr. Mohsen has several national and international research collaborations, her current research interests are in the area of design, synthesis, characterisation and applications of smart materials. She has done a lot of work in the area of drug delivery of chemotherapeutic drugs in novel smart ways. Her work focuses on selective targeting of cancer cells to safely deliver chemotherapeutic drugs and avoid healthy normal ones and thus avoid the known side effects of chemotherapeutics and also achieve the needed therapeutic effect in a faster, safer and more effective way. The novel methods proposed in Dr. Mohsen’s research provide a method of control in cases where surgeries are not possible due to the spread of cancer cells in different locations. Dr. Mohsen’s work in this area has already proven efficacy and success in selective targeting of cancer cells and is proceeding towards clinical trials.
Other areas of research include the study of smart particles as novel dental materials, this work is in collaboration with the Faculty of Dentistry – MSA University where Dr. Mohsen supervises several MSc. students.
Assistant professor Mohamed Salah El-Din Hodhod

Graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University - Biotechnology English program in 2008. Got his master degree at the Department of Botany and Microbiology, College of Science, King Saud University, Riyadh – Saudi Arabia in 2013. Where he has studied the Molecular systematics of one unique group of fungi, namely “Manglicolous fungi” (i.e., fungi inhabiting mangroves), through highlighting their ecology, diversity and molecular taxonomy. He got his PhD. in 2019, in which his work was focused on microbial biotechnology via utilizing marine fungi and their biological activities against Multiple Drug Resistant Bacteria (MDRB). His research interest is in the field of “Microbial Biotechnology”, there are two main research lines of focus; the first is the discovery line, in which he explore, describe, and characterize new microbial species on both morphological and molecular levels. The second line is the application line, through the utilization of newly interesting species bioactive compounds directly (i.e., Using their crude extracts), or indirectly (i.e., via bio-nanotechnology) in solving major clinical and environmental issues. |
Assistant professor Ingy Maher El Hefny
Ingy El Hefny received her Bachelor's Degree from the Faculty of Science, ChemistryZoology, (double major), Cairo University, Egypt. She then received a Diploma in the Medical Applications of Laser Sciences from the Department of " Medical and Biological Applications of Laser ". The National Institute of Laser Enhanced Science, (N.I.L.E.S), Cairo University, (2004) She was awarded her Master’s Degree in the year 2011 in Histology and Cytology from the Zoology Department at Benha University, Benha, Egypt Her work focused on The Effect of Microwaves Radiation on the Cells and Tissues in Gonads of Albino Rats. In 2021 she was awarded her Ph.D in Biotechnology (Molecular Biology) Faculty of Postgraduate Studies for Advanced Sciences (PSAS), Beni-Suef University, Egypt Her P.h.D research focused on the In vivo and In vitro Study of Genotoxicity and Cytotoxicity of the Food Preservatives Sodium Sulphite, Boric Acid and Benzoic Acid She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Biotechnology, at MSA University. She has been working at the Faculty of Biotechnology, as an Assistant lecturer since the year 2014.

Assistant Professor Zahra S. Hussein
Dr. Zahra S. Hussein got her bachelor's degree in Biotechnology / Biomolecular Chemistry from the Faculty of Science, Cairo University, Egypt. She was then awarded a CIHEAM full scholarship for master studies at the Horticultural Genetics and Biotechnology department, MAICh-CIHEAM, France. Her MSc work focused on the production and characterization of tomato prolyl 4 hydroxylase mutant lines using reverse genetics approaches. Afterwards, She joined the Faculty of Biotechnology at October University of Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), Egypt as an academic staff member in 2014 until present. In 2017, she got a full scholarship for a Ph.D. from the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies at the Institute of Life Sciences, Pisa, Italy and then she completed her Ph.D. in the Faculty of Science, Cairo University, Department of Biochemistry, Egypt-2022. Her Ph.D. research project focused on the potentiality of ornamental plants for the remediation of crude petroleum oil pollution. Currently, she is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Biotechnology, MSA University.
Assistant Professor Mustafa Mahmoud M. Elbakry
Graduated (2009) from Faculty of Science- Ain Shams University (ASU)- Biochemistry/ chemistry program.
Obtained MSc (2014) and PhD (2018) from Biochemistry department- Faculty of Science- ASU.
Since graduation he was hired at Biochemistry department- Faculty of Science- ASU and got promoted in different academic positions.
In addition to ASU, he was assigned as an assistant professor at Benha National University. He possesses 14 years of experience in the academic and research fields with several publications in international impacted scientific journals.
His research interest includes nanoparticles as a treatment for cancer, micro-RNA as a novel biomarkers for diseases, diseases polymorphism.

Assistant professor Rania Mahmoud Abdel Halim
Assistant professor Rania Mahmoud Abdel Halim Dr. Rania Mahmoud is a medical physicist who graduated from Cairo University. B.Sc in Biophysics (2006) from faculty of Science, Cairo University. She received her M.Sc. (2011) and Ph.D. (2016) in Medical Physics in the field of Nuclear Medicine and radiation protection from faculty of Science, Cairo University. She has a license from Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority (ENRRA) as a radiation protection expert for protection from ionizing radiation exposure hazards. Her experiences in teaching Biophysics, Physics and Medical Physics and as a consultant in radiation protection.

Before joining to the academic career I have an industrial experiences at reputable factories such as Heinz Egypt and Blue skies Egypt in the field of Quality assurance and Food safety. Got my M.Sc. & PhD. in 2014 & 2019 respectively from Botany & Microbiology Department, College of Science, King Saud University, Riyadh Saudi Arabia. I authored and co-authored 13 articles which published at ISI Journals beside supervising many undergraduate students. My overarching research interests revolve around marine microbial ecology and Biotechnology, the interactions between microbial communities, their genome and the resulting mutations due to unfavorable environmental conditions or nutrient limitations. Working Specially on Actinobacteria specially Streptomyces famous with producing active metabolites that could be useful in many fields such as agriculture in the form of bactericides and fungicides also in the field of medicine as antibacterials and antifungals and antivirals. |
Assistant professor Rania Momtaz Abdellatef Azab
Doctor Rania is a Medical immun-Microbiologist, dealing with mycology,bacteriology, immunology and virology from Cairo University Dr.Rania has long experience in laser science and laser applications as well as photodynamic therapy (PDT). She also specialist in archaeological conservation and preservation Her current research project focuses on enhancing evolutionary conservation, diagnosis and preservation in approaches in the biomolecular archaeology field. Dr.Rania is a member in IACUC ,Cairo university committee(Institutional Animal Care and Use committee) She has memberships in many national and International scientific societies; Union of Egyptian archaeologists، Union of Arab archaeologists, European photodiagnosis and photodynamic therapy association.

Samer El-Sayed Ismail is an Assistant Professor at Faculty of Biotechnology, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), Giza, Egypt.
He received his: B.Sc. in Genetics from the Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt. in 1995. M.Sc. in Molecular Genetics from the Faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University Giza, Egypt, in 2004. PhD. in Genomics from the faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University, Giza, Egypt. in 2015. Assistant professor Mai Ahmed Shafei
| Dr. Mai Ahmed Shafei earned her PhD in Cancer Metabolism from the University of the West of England, Bristol, United Kingdom. Her PhD focused on the role of dysregulated cell metabolism in the progression of breast cancer. Dr. Shafei completed training as an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) during post-doctoral research work at the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. She also has hands-on CRISPR/Cas9 industrial experience at Horizon Discovery, Cambridge, United Kingdom. Assistant professor Hossam ElDin Mostafa Mohamed
Lecturer of Molecular Virology Dr. Hossam El Din Mostafa Mohamed, a molecular virology lecturer at MSA University, earned his Ph.D. in Veterinary Medicine in 2018. Beyond academia, he's an entrepreneurial force, founding five companies and collaborating on innovative veterinary vaccines.
Pioneering advancements in animal care, he introduced a groundbreaking antibiotic substitute using Bacteriophages in bio-fermenters. Appointed to the Institutional Ethical Committees of Cairo University, Dr. Hossam has bridged academia and private sectors. His collaboration with Pharmalink Egypt resulted in the development of a new Infectious Bronchitis Vaccine. Leveraging his expertise, he established the Pharmalink Factory, producing protein concentrates through single-cell protein production. Dr. Hossam's journey reflects a transition from an academic researcher to an entrepreneurial innovator.
His interests span designing new poultry vaccines, developing Recombinant vaccines, creating natural immune boosters, producing biological enzymes, implementing novel animal feed production methods, developing animal models, and programming microchips for research. Assistant Professor Mohamed Refaat
Dr Refaat obtained his B.Sc. in Plant biology from the Faculty of Science at Ain Shams University. Afterward, He joined the faculty of science at Cairo University for his MSc. Afterward, he joined Kyoto University in Japan as a research associate working on the Epigenetic regulation of plant stress memory and plant-plant communication through volatile signals.
Then he obtained the prestigious Japanese Government(Monbukagakusho:MEXT) Scholarship for his Ph.D.at the Tokyo University of science.
His Ph.D. work focused on ubiquitination in plants, a key post-translational modification involved in most cellular processes, and its role in plant defense against chewing insects and necrotrophic fungi. He obtained my Ph.D. in 2019.
Then I joined Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. as an application specialist for less than a year.
He moved to USA as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Riverside. His work there was focused on Plant-nematode and aimed to develop a CRISPR genome-edited tomato plants to produce nematode-resistant variety. In May 2022, he joined MSA University, Faculty of Biotechnology as an assistant professor.
Assistant professor Abdelaziz Mohamed Nasr Mahmoud

Dr. Abdelaziz is a faculty of agriculture - Cairo university graduate. Afterwards, he worked in the national gene bank at the Agricultural research institute. Then he applied for a teaching assistant position at MSA university. After a year and a half, he decided to pursue a masters degree at the University of Bonn in Germany and followed that with a Ph.D. in the same lab. His work was related to plant stress physiology. He spent one year at the University of Verona for 1 year as a Postdoctoral researcher. Finally last August, he rejoined the Faculty of Biotechnology at MSA university. |
Assistant professor Fayrouz S. Mohamed

Dr. Fayrouz S. Mohamed is a biophysicist who received her B.Sc. in Biophysics from Faculty of Science, Cairo University in 2009. She then went on to earn her M.Sc. in Molecular Biophysics from Faculty of Science, Cairo University, Egypt in 2013. Her Master's thesis was titled "Determination of the Molecular Composition of Breast Tissue Using X-Ray Scattering". In 2019, Dr. Mohamed earned her PhD in Molecular Biophysics, also from Faculty of Science, Cairo University, Egypt. Her doctoral research focused on the application of nanotechnology in cancer radiation therapy. Dr. Mohamed has been awarded prestigious fellowships to conduct research at renowned institutions. One of these fellowships was the International Atomic Energy Agency Research Fellowship, which she completed at ELETTRA Synchrotron in Trieste, Italy. Dr. Mohamed was also awarded a HORIZON 2020 Research Fellowship at the Structural Biology laboratory of ALBA Synchrotron in Barcelona, Spain. During her time there, she gained experience with protein purification and crystallization screening methods.

Assistant professor Ahmed Gomaa
Dr Gomaa is a Microbial bio-engineer, dealing with synthetic biology approaches, metabolic engineering, and automated adaptive lab evolution (ALE).
His current research project focuses on enhancing evolutionary engineering approaches through automation and machine learning toolkit (MLKT) to develop microbial cell factories.
He is am interested in designing, and programming cheap-but-effective microbial mini-bioreactors for long-term and unique experimental design regards microbial experimental evolution.
Assistant professor Shaza Ahmed
Shaza Ahmed got her bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Biotechnology, MSA University, Egypt and was hired as a teaching assistant at the faculty of Biotechnology in 2010.
She was awarded a Master’s degree in 2017 in Biotechnological sciences from faculty of Science, Cairo University. Her work focused on the effect of Lapatinib drug and the transactivation of singaling pathways in breast cancer patients in Egypt.
In 2023 she was awarded a Ph.D. from Faculty of Science, Cairo University.
Her P.h.D research focused on establishing a database and searching for new hot spot mutations in several breast cancer genes among familial and non- familial breast cancer patients.
She has been working at the faculty of Biotechnology as an Assistant lecturer since 2010 and now she has been promoted to lecturer at the Faculty of Biotechnology, MSA University.
