The event showcased the innovative projects of two exceptional teams: Musicology and Healthy Lifestyle.

 

Featured in this collaborative session were two esteemed guest speakers. Dr. Mohamed el Shafie, CEO and Founder of Proactive Development Solution, shared insights into emotional intelligence while Dr. Ghada Abdel Rahim, Assistant Professor of Educational Psychology at Cairo University, offered her expertise.

Zeynab Hassan, Shahd AbdelMageed, Mariam Taha, and Shams Tarek, students at the Faculty of Mass Communication, organized an event to promote their graduation project "San'et Set" campaign, which aims to showcase and highlight the craftsmanship and artistry of Egyptian women in various fields such as knitting, traditional decorations, skincare, and traditional clothing tailoring.

 

The campaign included different areas in Egypt, including Cairo, Fayoum, Sinai, Siwa, and Aswan, where unique handicrafts and the talented women behind them were showcased under the supervision of Dr. Rania Shaaban and Ms. Rana Rashad.

Students of the Electrical Communication and Electronic Systems Engineering Program at the Faculty of Engineering took a field trip to Factory 144 in Benha as a practical application of what they have studied in the Radar Systems course. They have visited the printed circuit board factory, as well as the assembly and production plant for the precise electronic components used in radar systems. Additionally, they visited the Radar Research Center, where methods for designing and implementing radar devices used in various applications were showcased.

An enlightening event titled "Embark on a journey into the realm of the infectious invaders within us (Parasites & viruses)" was hosted by the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Faculty of Pharmacy.

 

The event was held in the grand Opera Hall of Building G, the event was orchestrated by the diligent efforts of the third-level Pharmacy students. Their primary aim was to raise awareness about the dangers posed by parasites and viruses, particularly concerning transmission in childhood, among individuals with autoimmune diseases, immunodeficiency, and those with frequent animal contact.

Aligned with the World Health Organization's (WHO) vision, recognizing patient empowerment for self-management as fundamental to sustainable healthcare,

 

The Faculty of Physical Therapy hosted the 3rd Students' Conference, entitled "Paving the Future for Sustainable Physiotherapy," with the honour & participation of esteemed guests from different universities to exchange their experiences in the field of sustainable physiotherapy. The students’ research topics were presented and evaluated by some of the guests and faculty members, with the focus of all the selected topics aiming at natural treatment and environmentally friendly health care. They were also honored and the first ones were honoured for their scientific excellence.

 

The conference also aimed to explore the interventions for self-management that often incorporate principles of self-efficacy, which enables reduced health service utilization without compromising patient health outcomes. For instance, physical therapy interventions are highly recommended for many pain conditions and have similar or more benefits than surgical or pharmacological interventions, with a much lower impact on climate change focusing on the importance of Physiotherapists and other health professionals' encouragement to research, design and implement protocols that are high in sustainable value.

As part of developing the skills and knowledge of the faculty members and students of the Faculty of Biotechnology in the field of horses and artificial insemination, the Veterinary Services Administration of the Armed Forces hosted lecturers and students of the faculty to participate in the Egyptian-Swiss Symposium titled "The Egyptian-Swiss Symposium on Semen Cryopreservation & Equine Embryo Transfer."

 

The event was attended by officers, doctors from the armed forces, and veterinary experts from Egypt and Switzerland. Dr. Lamiaa Al-Fadali, a faculty member at the Faculty of Dentistry, qualifies as one of the top 5 advanced trainers at Huawei Academy for Artificial Intelligence in Egypt for the global qualifiers.

 

In addition to her teaching role and curriculum development for the artificial intelligence subject for dental students at the faculty, she has enriched the scientific material of artificial intelligence for dental students to suit various applications in dentistry. Dr. Lamiaa has worked on integrating artificial intelligence and raising awareness among dentists locally and globally by participating as a speaker in many international and local scientific conferences. Kenzy Hani and Heba Adel - graduates of the Faculty of Engineering, Electrical Communication and Electronic Systems Engineering Department, class of 2023, achieved second place in the fourteenth annual competition for the best projects on the Faculty of Engineering Day in Port Said.

 

Their project was selected among 400 graduation projects from various Egyptian governmental and private universities. The project involved designing and implementing a miniature device using metamaterials to distribute microwave waves between antennas, capable of operating on two frequency bands. The project serves as a practical application for developing mobile devices and various wireless devices.

The Faculty of Mass Communication, Broadcasting Department hosted graduation project presentations under the patronage of Dr. Amani Fahmy, Dean of the faculty. Outstanding film ideas to be produced in the upcoming semester were showcased, along with presentations of films previously executed by fourth-year students.

 

Students presented film ideas addressing the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations and aligning with Egypt's Vision 2030. Distinguished experts attended, including Ms. Hanan Radi, Documentary Filmmaker, Mr. Zain Al-Abideen Khairy Shelby, Film Critic, Editor-in-chief of Cairo Magazine and Member of Judging Committees for numerous film festivals. Also in attendance were Dr. Reham Sami, Acting Chair of the Radio and Television Department, and Dr. Yasmin Ahmed.

Under the patronage of Her Excellency, Dr. Nevine El-Qabbaj, the Ministry of Social Solidarity has announced the launch of the "Hero from Our Nation" competition as part of the celebrations for the October Victory. The competition includes three main categories: October War Films, Developmental Films, and Non-Governmental Organizations Films.

 

In a delightful surprise, Mirna Hossam, a Faculty of Mass Communication graduate, won first place in the Developmental Films category with her film "Soad's Smile."

A total of 55 films were selected for the October War Films competition, and over 100 films for the Developmental Films competition. The judging panel comprised seasoned writers and critics, including the writer and screenwriter Atef Beshai, the art critic Magda Maurice, Thanaa Hashem, a professor at the Cinema Institute, and the journalist Fatma Shaarawy. Together, they played a crucial role in selecting outstanding works and awarding prizes to exceptional talents.

The exhibition's paintings express a time and real-life events experienced by the artist. She utilized art as a therapy and expressing women's strength, employing an abstract style that relies on colour spaces to embody various human emotions using diverse materials such as acrylic, wood, resin, and more.
