Our Student Menna from Faculty of Biotechnology won the first prize in the 3rd Cairo International exhibition of innovation with a project concerning improving bladder Cancer treatment !

Our biotechnology student Menatallah Yasser Got the first prize with her graduation project in the 3rd Cairo International exhibition of innovation sponsored by the minister of higher education organized by the scientific research Academy and the ministry of higher education at Salah Eldin Castle ,

Mena's research achieved a major breakthrough in the medical field by increasing the expiry period of a bladder cancer cure from 4 months up to 2 years which will have a huge effect on the treatment, increasing the efficiency with a lower cost and preventing the recurrence of the tumors , This was only achievable after adding certain chemicals created in the labs through long and hard biotechnological procedures , Menna will be prized by going to France for one week also . She said : the idea of the research is about using the Soduim glutamate instead of other commercial ineffective expensive substances which expires in 4 months , the treatment was tested over laboratory mice and didn't show any adverse effect , She also said that she aimed to help people with bladder cancer as it's one of the most complicated types of cancer , she also thanked the Faculty of Biotechnology , Dr Nawal El Degwi , Dr Ayman Diab and Dr Gehan Safwat .
