Faculty of Mass Communication Orientation Day

"Together we thrive." This is how TV presenter and MSA graduate Lina Tahtawy started here welcome note on Mass Communication faculty orientation day. The day was set to have a selected group of the faculty graduates welcome the new comers, and introduce them to the different sides of the faculty.

The day took off on Prof. Khairy Abdel Hamid; University President's welcome note where he stressed on how important it is to utilize the online resources made available for all students, and to seek knowledge beyond classes and books. Followed that was Bedforshire University representative; Prof. John Reynold's presentation on the university and the validation it provides to the Mass Comm faculty, along with other services it provide students with. Lastly, came the Dean's word; Prof. Ibtessam El Duindi, in which she gave a brief account on the faculty's vision and mission, what it provides students both on the academic and the activities levels. The faculty took great pride as each of the successful alumni models - including TV presenter Marina El Masry – Political Reporter Omar Halawa – Oxford University MA holder Dina Salah - stepped up and introduced his/her peers to the different aspects of their study throughout the coming four years. The day ended on a high note as Dr. Noha Samir; Broadcast Program Coordinator together with young director Kareem EL Gohary of the faculty's alumni introduced the new workshops program that will be held by Mass Comm specialized graduates during the academic year of 2018/2019.
