The ceremony began with the speech of Prof. Dr. Dina Abboud, where the attendees were welcomed, and Prof. Dr. Khairy Abdel Hamid gave his speech and praised the performance of the Faculty of Arts and Design and its progress in linking its academic curricula with industry. Furthermore, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Karim praised the wonderful performance of the Faculty in the job market in the field of designing the visual identity of the food sector companies in Egypt along with the innovative design proposals that were submitted regarding packaging designs.
Additionally, Dr. Tarek Saleh concentrated on the importance of cooperation between the faculty and the industrial sector which enrich the students’ experiences and give them the ability to deal with life in the labor market, and emphasis the conclusion of other agreements with the Industrial Modernization Center to enhance ways of cooperation.
Engineer Ahmed Gaber expressed his great happiness for being invited to the honoring ceremony, concerning with the importance of linking the academic courses with the labor market and praising the Faculty’s recent performance as the Faculty won many awards in many competitions.
The cooperation protocols that were held between the Faculty of Arts and Design and the Industrial Modernization Center were presented, which were divided into two categories
1. The first category is related to the design of the visual identity of the Egyptian food sector companies, where the students created visual solutions for the companies’ logo in line with the nature of those companies. In addition to designing stationaries and brochures.
2. The second category was related to packaging designs that concentrated on the functionality and sustainability of the designed packages.
The five winning designs were presented in the field of visual identity design, where contracts were concluded and certificates of appreciation were distributed to teaching staff, their assistants and the winning students. Moreover, they received a cash amount as a reward for what they had done, in honor of their efforts and for giving them real experience in the market.
All students whose work was presented to industrialists and who participated in the packaging designs were honored and given certificates of honor and appreciation
