McDonald’s McMuffin Campaign at MSA University!

MSA University would like to extend its delight to host the largest and number one fast-food chain worldwide, McDonald’s, on campus this week.
The famous food chain McDonald’s just introduced its brand new breakfast meals called Egg- McMuffin, which consists of healthy portions of eggs, beef bacon and sausages all wrapped up inside a warm freshly-baked muffin.
A booth was set up on Wednesday and Thursday, and students enjoyed free giveaway meals and played a number of exciting graffiti and iPad games.

SGS came to MSA's 6th October campus on the 29th and 30th November to perform its second surveillance. This audit was performed by representatives of SGS, to see if MSA has been capable of maintaining it standards in the faculties of Dentistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, and the Dental Clinics.

The meeting included discussions about his rich experience in the field of TV production. The meeting was aiming to benefit our students through sharing his experience which varied from working with the Egyptian TV in Nile TV station since its beginning and the Egyptian specialized channels in addition to working with Fox channel in Egypt which was a very rich experience.

Faculty of Mass com at MSA puts Hands on Live Experience

On Monday 19th April, 2010 Broadcasting Department at MSA hosted a workshop for the Daily TV show production members of,"Yes3ed Sba7ak"- channel 2.
The main theme of the workshop was, "The production technique of daily talk shows." The production team of the show consisted of Mr. Sameh Abdalla, director, Mr Hany Gamil, editor, Mr Fayez Tharwat, anchor and Miss Hanaa Maher, assistant producer and it is casted by alternating presenters.

MSA Broadcasting students and the crew members shared and exchanged ideas and experiences after which they were invited to attend the shooting of the programme on regular basis. It was a marvelous opportunity for students to get hands on practical experience. It's noteworthy that Fayez Tharwat the anchor man was MSA, Mass Communication graduate.

“2 Bein El Qasrein” Which will be performed at "El Sawy Cultural Wheel" on 21st & 22nd April 2010.

The idea of the performance is to document the gigantic & drastic changes that had happened through the years since the time of the original story "Bein El kasrein" which was written by Naguib Mahfouz, the Nobel Prize winner till, our present time, 2010!!

Dr. Sherif Bahgat wins "Future Scientists" Award,

Dr Sherif Fayez Bahget, dentistry lecturer at MSA university, won the ‘ Future Scientists’ award during the National Conference for Dentistry Faculties that was organized by Cairo University in City Stars Hotel. Dr. Bahget presented his research under the title “The Applicable Methods of Constructing teeth under porcelain.
His research submission was amongst many groups of researchers who participated in the same conference.
The qualifications for the conference had selected, for the very first time, 3 re searchers who were finalists by the very first time, everyone recommended the selection of Dr. Sherif Bahgat for the award based on his high qualification of his submitted research.

MSA Collects Prizes in Universities' Basketball Tournament

October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) won the Basketball game over German, British and Fayoum Universities, where it participated in the thirty seven tournament of basketball for universities. The outstanding performance of MSA team who was trained by the excellent basketball coaches of El Gezira Club, made them attain first placement over all universities. MSA won 43/42 over BUE, 45/42 over GUC and 43/27 over Fayoum University. MSA now is qualified to play against Mansoura University in a coming tournament.

Canadian Professors visit MSA

Dr. Steve and Dr. Carole Zamon from the University of Toronto’s Dental School, Canada, visited MSA, on Monday 22nd of February 2010.

It all started when Dr. Omar Mowafy – of the University of Toronto- was hosted by MSA to give a seminar in the Faculty of Dentistry on 'Operative Dentistry'. He was so impressed and thrilled with his experience at MSA that he shared it with his colleagues in Canada, and that’s when Dr. Steve and Dr. Carole Zamon were encouraged to come to MSA. Dr. Steve and Carole Zamon toured the entire campus; from MSA’s cutting edge labs, clinics, X-ray technology and simulators, to the modern classes, halls and Roman Theatre. According to Dr. Steve, a lot of creativity has gone into the construction of this state- of the- art campus and Dr. Carole added that the atmosphere and the feeling she has about MSA is beyond description. They were also fascinated by the advancement and cleanliness of the labs.

Moreover, their visit to MSA Opera House left them excited about students extra curriculum activities.

A charming young lady complained from a gummy smile and hyper -pigmentation, she went to the periodontal clinic, Faculty of dentistry MSA University seeking help, a dental plastic surgery was performed by Dr Rania Farouk assistant lecturer in the Oral medicine and periodontology department with the assistance of the interns, and this granted the young lady a brand new gorgeous smile, and she was ecstatic with the result.

MSA Student Engineers participate in ICT

MSA Engineering students participated in the Cairo conference of Engineering and information Technology ICT. The conference was inaugurated by Dr Tarek Kamel the Minister of communication and Information Technology which was held in the Cairo International Conference Center at Nasr City. MSA students' participation was highly commended and appreciated as they have attained a cutting edge in electronics which enticed the renowned companies to offer support, sponsorship, finance and executions. Intel, ESC, White house Securities and Delta Insurance were among these companies who assured the validity and the outstanding potential of projects. The automated multi storey electronic parking building was among the distinguished projects which was carried out by two students whose names were; Mahmoud Bahaa El Sherif and Mohamed Ahmed Hassan who were inspired by a Japanese idea but the design was their own. The idea is based on leaving the car on an automatic carrier board and a secret code ticket enables the driver to park and restore the car automatically. This project incurs a lot of advantages like saving time, space, cost besides protecting the car itself from theft or scratches resulted by the traditional parking. Faculty of Dentistry‘s (Al Qafela Al Tebeya) make their second charity visit, this time to Dahshour with the aim of providing their citizens with emergency dental care that otherwise they cannot obtain.
The emergency procedures included therapeutic extractions, scaling and cleaning and teaching basic oral hygiene measures, other restorative procedures will be carried on MSA clinics.
The young doctors are very proud of their experience of helping others and the “Medical Tribe” will keep on visiting other under privileged areas all over Egypt to serve their community.

American Ambassadors’ visit to MSA University

The goal behind her visit was to empower the Egyptian-American relations and culture exchange programs.
Dr. Scobey started her visit by meeting with Mama Nawal and the Board of Trustees. She then proceeded to tour our campus where she was overwhelmed by its grandeur and was impressed by the beauty of the campus as well as all the state-of-the-art laboratories.
Her Excellency also visited the MSA opera House where she met our students and saw the graduation projects from all faculties and commended the students for their outstanding effort and dedication.
Her Excellency was specifically impressed by the dental facilities of MSA University and admired the free treatments to patients who cannot afford being treated..
