Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Engineering, A path to the Future

The Faculty of Engineering at October for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) held and hosted the scientific two-day conference entitled “"Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Engineering, A path to the Future" on campus grounds on the 11th and the 12th of March, 2023.

The conference took place with the presence of his excellence Professor Dr. Ashraf El Shihy, the Former Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research as well as his excellence Professor Wael El Degwi, the Former Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The event was also honored to host the presidents of Assiout, Helwan, and Tanta Universities alongside the vice presidents of Ain Shams, and Benha Universities. The prestigious principals of scientific national authorities and institutions were also present at the remarkable occasion along with prominent and renowned keynote speakers.

In support of Egyptian national objectives and goals as well as the United Nations' (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the conference addressed significant and current concerns. Across the sessions, a wide range of topics and themes were tackled, notably the integration of the multidisciplinary sciences.

Numerous noteworthy scientific studies were presented and discussed by eminent professors, scholars, researchers, and professionals throughout the conference. Out of the total of one hundred and twenty-eight submitted proposals, a final sixty studies were selected for presentation and publication for their distinctive and genuine contribution.

On the sidelines of the conferencea two-day workshop entitled "Ocean Intelligence" about novel design methods and technologies was conducted in conjunction with the mainstream in order to promote the natural exploitation of marine resources in construction. We can create and rescue our seas with the help of architects in this age of technological advancement, and by working together and with the aid of various Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, we will shift the paradigm of architecture.

It was a fruitful and pleasant multinational gathering where speakers, researchers, academics, and scholars from the United States, Spain, Italy, and Egypt convened and discussed a wide range of subjects, coming to many great conclusions and denoting excellent recommendations.

MSA University's faculty of engineering is incredibly privileged to have hosted this event that afforded a valuable opportunity for the academic community, professionals, and students. This in response will advocate for and promote initiatives for a better environment, addressing the crucial issues of sustainability, and artificial intelligence.
