Arab Student Star Pack International Competition - seventh edition

In the seventh edition of the Arab Student Star Pack International Competition, organized by the Lebanese Packaging Association "Liban Pack" on an Arab level, and under the auspices of the United Nations and the World Packaging Organization, the judging is carried out by a team of packaging industry experts from around the world. Students from ten Arab countries participated in the competition in three fields, which are, Save The Food, Visual Packaging, and Structural Packaging.

 

Students from the Faculty of Arts and Design, the Graphic Design and Media Arts Department, had six awards in these three fields, placing October University for Modern Sciences and Arts in the first position among the Egyptian universities participating in the competition. The awarded students are as follows:

 

- Save the Food:

Amr Ali - First place.

Dareen Moustafa Mohamed - Third place.

 

- Visual Packaging:

Sohaila Hisham - Third place.

Nouran Yehia Ibrahim - Third place.

 

- Structural Packaging:

Yousef Ahmed Mustafa - Second place.

Nouran Hamdy - Third place.

 

Participation in this competition is under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tarek Saleh, the Dean of the Faculty. Dr. Ahmed Attia has supervised the students' projects in the competition for the fourth consecutive year, along with a team of associate professors and teaching assistants, including Eng. Nashwa Mahmoud, Eng. Rawan Al-Augail, Eng. Nesreen Heikal, Eng. Ahmed Ayman, and Eng. Marwa Khamees. These projects are part of the educational outcomes for the packaging design course.
