Introduction
The Faculty of Mass Communication at MSA offers a programme made up of three majors: Journalism, Advertising, and Public Relations, and Broadcasting. The faculty offers Advertising and Public Relations minor as well to students of other MSA faculties.
The Faculty of Mass Communication emphasizes creative and professional aspects of mass communication; students do not only learn theories, they also mix theory with practice. Students are offered internships in major Egyptian and international media organizations operating in Egypt.
Public seminars are also offered featuring top media figures. The faculty of Mass Communication is equipped with multimedia production configurations as well as audiovisual equipment and online publishing mean.
The Faculty of Mass Communication inaugurated Cairo Media Centre where students are trained to develop skills in:
I. Studio Production, which I. Studio Production, which includes digital camera operations, editing, scriptwriting, performance and Electronic News Production.
II. Field Production, which involves Electronic Field Production and Electronic News Production.
III. Radio, which involves learning skills of radio production, reporting, editing, scriptwriting, recording, producing ROSRs and wrap-arounds.
- The Faculty of Mass Communication is granted international recognition for its Global Class which is a joint project with Georgia State University Center
for International Media Education via WebCt.
- This global class is evaluated as the trans-cultural-education model by the Association for Education of Journalism and Mass Communication.

The Faculty of Mass Communication is keen to be one of the best faculties on the national, regional and international levels, to provide an education that transcends local language and culture, and to attain pluralism and diversity.
Mission
To educate students to contribute positively to the role of the media in society through their knowledge, analytical and technical skills, and cultural awareness, as well.
To encourage students to achieve excellence in both research and academic activities, and make professional ethics that distinguishes them throughout their careers deeply-rooted in them.
To enrich students' learning experience through cooperation with different organisations working in the field of mass communication.
To enhance Faculty' teaching staff and its students' conviction of their important role in community services.
To consistently meet the programmes validation requirements of Middlesex University and the accreditation of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE) for academic quality.
